Compiling her four EPs released from 2015 to 2017, this tape shows the progression of New York producer Aesu's sound.

On "Not Like I Did," we get six chill, bass-heavy plunder-hop tracks with several sampled spoken word passages to transition from track to track. The release gives us a little peek into the artist's mind as far as influences go and the creative process.

"Yesterday's Dreams..." shows a breezy, IDM-infused side of things, with tracks like "blip" and "feely" fluttering through the listener's speakers with gritty drums and light synth pads.

Though "Algiers" clocks in with 6 tracks at 7 minutes, each track wastes no time in delivering catchy loops that stick in your head after it's done, like the woozy and haunting "Sonhos" and the stuttering groove of "Touch."

"Vienna/Trieste" is a two-parter EP/mini album (Tracks 1-6 and 7-11, respectively) that the artist says shows us their personality through music. The majority of the tracks are very upbeat, some highlights being the killer drums of "It Gets Chunkier," and the one-two punch of "Magma" into "Give Me." But as it draws to a close, we get one of the most beautiful songs on the tape "It's Like I Like You," featuring a delicate vocal and keys sample that feels like the moment right before you release from hugging a good friend goodbye.

An overwhelming sense of peace, relaxation, and just the right amount of melancholy runs through all four releases and makes Aesu's short but sweet discography truly one of the hidden gems of the Internet, now available in one package for listeners to enjoy.
