Originally released over 20 years ago in 1999 on uber-limited CD and still blowing minds today, this cult classic by Kozaburo Narita (aka SONIC DRAGOLGO) went very much unnoticed by most until these past couple years.

But it's never too late for good music!

Donned by an adorably crudely drawn bunny—that is likely half the reason for the album's newfound fame—MY SWEET HONEY BUNNY is a nonstop onslaught of some of the most vicious ear candy ever recorded. (Seriously, I had to re-level some of the track's volumes for this reissue to allow for a more fluid listening experience, but otherwise I left the mastering untouched, yw!) The album is banger after banger (save for a few cute interludes) and is above all else, 1000000% fun.

While the front half has tracks like "SWEET MACHINEGUN" and "MIFFY," which both feature adorable vocal samples on top of some seriously killer breaks designed to tear up your subwoofers, tracks on the back end like "BAMBI" and the title track have beautifully bittersweet chords and melodies that—if you weren't sold on the album up until that point—are guaranteed to cement it in your top-albums-of-all-time list. This album has grit and intensity, but also heart and humanity.

each track uses the fact that its digital hardcore in its own unique way each time, rarely sounding similar to the other despite generally being noisy and in your face. i find this to be especially helped by Machine Girl's usage of unique samples or their own voices, which i can barely understand but honestly it really adds to the charm and aesthetic of this release. i know this album is 7 years old at the time of writing this, but it still holds up incredibly well.
