Molly absolutely splendid release by the digital hardcore master themselves, SONIC DRAGOLGO. i love how just like in MY SWEET HONEY BUNNY, it does not hold back at all in the sheer volume that it bashes into your ears, along with how it surpasses conventional electronic music in the way it tries so many different sounds and has strange progression in its tracks. not only that, but this further reinforces how much of a talented and unique artist DRAGOLGO is. Favorite track: Great 14pt.1.

SONIC DRAGOLGO's debut "のんびりポテトさん" sees the light of day again! After Sonic-san himself told me I was free to do as I pleased with his older works, I decided to put this out on Retrac as well after tracking down an OG cd copy.

This album's sound design is punky and crusty as hell, yet with this futuristic and glossy sheen to everything. Sometimes layers don't line up completely perfectly, but everything still bangs hard. Some highlights of the album include tracks like the title track and "identity Society," the former of which is almost a pop song, and the latter featuring some wailing guitars and an extremely fun vocal performance from Sonic.

If you're still looking for gabber and techno, this album still has that for sure, and what the album lacks in comparison to MY SWEET HONEY BUNNY in terms of distortion and full-on audio assault, it makes up for in pure fun and insanity!

Now reissued onto a run of 100 tapes and 100 12" records, のんびりポテトさん is waiting to make its home in your collection!

each track uses the fact that its digital hardcore in its own unique way each time, rarely sounding similar to the other despite generally being noisy and in your face. i find this to be especially helped by Machine Girl's usage of unique samples or their own voices, which i can barely understand but honestly it really adds to the charm and aesthetic of this release. i know this album is 7 years old at the time of writing this, but it still holds up incredibly well.
